Artist's CommentsA Tale Unfolded A brutal fate, Did she wear, With her long, Sleek, black hair. A stormy night, A war of love, Cast a spell, To the clouds above. Just one girl, With a heart of ice. Broke the dawn, With triumph of night. Gazing to the moon above, She made them die, For the man she loved. It was her destiny, Pre-planned from birth, No ever gave her worth. But to the one Who saw it all, He knew she wanted None of this at all. She said, "Beware!" But he did not listen. He fell in love with her, Her face seemed to glisten. For in the dark, Within her sanctuary, He thought she was beautiful, Not even slightly scary. He saw what no one else did see, A precious soul, just hiding, waiting to be freed. He coaxed it out, And looked about, But he was the only one who did believe. Their lives they did live together, In happiness, For forever. He saw through her mask, And fell in love, With the girl no one else thought of.
